The Greater Cashiers Area Merchants Association exists to promote the local business community through community events, annual promotions, and sale events throughout the year. GCAMA Events include the "Groovin' on the Green" concert series on the Village Commons and seasonal events like the "Cashiers Leaf Festival" in the fall.

Any media outlets looking for information on the Cashiers area are asked to contact Stephanie Edwards, Executive Director of the Cashiers Chamber of Commerce.  They have a vast amount of information on the area including articles and a wide array of available photography to suit your needs. The Chamber puts on the "Tour de Cashiers" and the annual Christmas Parade every year.

MemberSites software was created in summer 2009 with an idea to create a community website that would allow access to the content of the site by all members using a "membership" social model, to promote community businesses and to extend what has traditionally been a seasonal business environment. By promoting community-wide events and organizing community-wide business initiatives throughout the year we hope to not only expand awareness of our community but also increase business for all members. This software has evolved and grown, incorporating a wide array of software modules that have been integrated into a community-centric content membership management model. The platform has a highly secure framework that allows page display based on security access and permissions. A full-featured administration and reporting capability make the system easy to use and administrate, as well as being highly responsive to multiple users.
