The Heart Of The Blue Ridge Mountains

Let's Go Fly Fishing!

The Cashiers / Highlands Plateau is one of the most interesting "hubs" for the fly fishing enthusiasts in the Southeast. From right here in Cashiers, we have over 30 fish-able trout streams within a 45 minute drive from the Crossroads. These waters are home to our native brook trout as well as wild brown, and rainbow trout. Venturing just a little further off the mountain opens up all kinds of other opportunities such as Smallmouth bass fishing on one of our warm-water rivers, or pursuing large, hard fighting striped bass on the fly on a nearby lake.

By hiring a local guide, all skill levels can enjoy these wonderful natural resources with no experience needed. Spring and Fall tend to be the best times to trout fish here in our area, but there is something happening all year long. Here at Brookings, we are open all year long, and offer guide trips 7 days a week except for major holidays. To learn more about Brookings, and what all we do, please follow the link to our website.

There are many places in surrounding Jackson County that are great spots to cast your line. World-class trout streams await you in Cashiers, the Heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains!
